Vetassess Application

First hurdle to conquer is to get a positive skills assessment from Vetassess

If you will go through the SOL, you will notice that across each skill, you will see the corresponding agency authorized to assess each skill's level and qualification. For hubby's skill, Anzsco code: 234111, Agricultural Consultant, Vetassess is responsible for skill's assessment. His application was lodged online last November 30, 2010. At that time, assessment fee was AU$ 500. You will find the updated fees here.

You will find the list of requirements here and FAQs here.

In our case, we submitted the following documents:
  1. Passport identification page (photocopy)
  2. 2 pcs passport sized photos. These must be certified as true likeness of the applicant. You just need to paste it on a bond paper, type "This is to certify that the pictures in this page is a true likeness of myself." Print your name and sign. And have this document notarized. Request the notary to imprint his dryprint on each side of the photos.
  3. Employment Certificate
  4. Company Notice of Promotion (photocopy)
  5. Company Loyalty Award (photocopy)
  6. 1 payslip per year of service
  7. ITR per year of service (photocopy)
  8. Transcript of Records
  9. Diploma (photocopy)
Be reminded to have all photocopied documents notarized.

Average processing times is 10-12 weeks. However in our case, it is way way more than the average processing times. What I did was email vetassess for update on each month of delay. And thank God, success was our when our outcome was released. On the fifth month (May 16, 2011), that is! :(

How about you?? How long did your Vetassess assessment take? Share :)

Cheers mate!

  1. Hi, I am in the process of submitting my vetasses application as well, I am just wondering if I have to have each page per document be notarized? or is it per document?
